All Scottish school leavers, male and female, who fulfil the membership criteria of one Scottish parent or grandparent, are welcome to apply for membership of The Caledonian Club. The School Leaver Category of membership at The Caledonian Club has no joining fee and a one-off subscription which covers Members from the ages of 18-25 yrs. To apply, please speak to your Headmaster who will propose you, or contact the Club direct.
Following the submission of a fully completed application form and full supporting letters from the proposer and seconder, the application will go before the Membership Committee for consideration. At this stage a candidate may be asked to attend an interview with the Membership Committee. Where prospective candidates do not have a proposer or seconder, an interview with the Membership Committee is obligatory. At the next stage, upon initial approval, the candidate’s name is displayed on the Club noticeboard for a minimum of two weeks. This will give any Members who have met the candidate, and who approve of the application, the opportunity to add their signature of support or otherwise. The application will then go to the Committee for final consideration.
